MENTORING: MARIKA KOASIDIS
Don’t have an agent? Finding it hard to navigate the industry on your own?
Do you dislike making calls, writing emails and networking? Do you have to be your own
manager – paddle your own canoe? Does the thought of paperwork or negotiations fill you
with dread?
Someone needs to teach you all of that! After all… how else is the world supposed to get to
know you?
If you feel like:
Phone calls to Clients are stressful;
You don’t know how to talk about yourself, the music you create, or why people should work
with you;
You aren’t sure how to stand out or how to share your story and experience with the world;
You have a website and a SoundCloud profile, but… don’t know why nobody is calling?
I’m here to help! 🙂 Because I know the way – and I know exactly how to teach you. 🙂
I graduated from the EY Academy of Business Coaching Program, which is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). In my work, I utilize a coaching approach, development tools, and business mentoring.
Although the world of film music is full of expression and inner richness, once you step into it, you are met with silence and a certain sense of isolation. Marika Koasidis, CEO of the Uszy.Te Music Agency, is the person who helps you find your way in it. With her passion, experience, expertise, poise, and, just as importantly, understanding in her interactions with aspiring composers, she not only makes it easier to define one’s place within the highly demanding fields of music and film but also charts a course that clearly leads to the goal. ..
Working with her takes place in a collaborative atmosphere and is based on knowledge, trust, and precise correction of one’s own mistakes. Marika definitely makes self-improvement tangible, allowing you to improve your skills and gain experience in practical and crucial aspects, and this always brings you closer to ultimate success. From my own experience, I can say that she does not follow a scheme - her method is personal and tailored to the individual. Her advice is sometimes very demanding, but always precise, and it has this incredibly important quality: it doesn’t look back, but instead opens doors and broadens my horizons. It allows me, as the technical term goes, to step outside my comfort zone - which is crucial in the creative industry. Personally, I cannot imagine tackling the profession of composer without such support - it would be a daunting experience, regardless of the works we have in our portfolio or - as is more often the case - in our long-unopened drawers.
